A Federal High Court in Lagos has ordered the Federal Government and the
Nigerian police to pay suspended Central Bank Governor, Sanusi Lamido
Sanusi, N50million as exemplary damages for unlawfully detaining him and
seizing his passport on February 20th. The court also asked the police
to immediately return his passport and warned them against arresting or
harassing him again.
